Concept

The challenge that we faced during projecting wasa confectionery plant renovation with an idea of changing its appearance from typical industrial building made out of pre-fabricated panels to the new modern one, at the same time saving the industrial outlook to make sure that it doesn't resemble a boring office facility. Moreover, the appearance of a plant was to be be unique and appropriate of its function. At the same time, taking into account the front surface, we had to create an economically reasonable solution.

Solution

Two main facades have a special texture which refers to the function of a plant. This texture is finger- and palm-prints. We are focusing on manual work of bakers making the building look las of t was made out of a huge piece of dough with human hard-working and participation. Facades are transparent although they look like one common surfaces from outside view.
Another type of facade reminds the structure of the cut bread. It has two layers. The second one gives depth and expression.
Thus, we are using different facade structures which bring to mind about production and give expressive and modern look to the entire building.

The new appearance of the plant is supposed to become a key symbol of an industrial area it's located in. We assume to renovate the nearby area increasing and enhancing quality of the recreation zones and at the same time dividing them from the parking.
